Madaari

Story: 3
Screenplay: 2.5
Direction: 2.75
Performances: 3.5
Dialogues:3.5
Technical Aspects: 3
Overall: 3.04
Verdict: Madaari is more of self aware Stockholm Syndrome drama between the leads (which keeps the film afloat in the first half) rather than being a thriller or exceptionally smart like the superior ‘A Wednesday’ of which the film is highly derivative.
The film begins to drag toward the intermission and post it too until the high impact climax .Irrfan delivers the goods yet again but this time the script fails him. This isnt as disappointing as Rocky Handsome but it could have much more as I am sure of the Director’s Nishikant Kamat’s capabilities. He just needs to choose better scripts.
Give this a watch for Irrfan’s brilliance.
